Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Peacock feathers as a bouquet, created in a circle there is a caleidoscope element to this mandala. Drawn on pastelmat with Polychromos and Prismacolor coloured pencils and has been created by building up many layers of depth and colour.

All my mandalas are hand drawn and grow intuitively on the paper, I often don't know how they are going to turn out. The word Mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning within the "circle." Although often geometric in form, mandalas can be any repeated form or shape... usually there is a centre point and for me the design grows organically from there... sometimes I have an idea in mind and sometime they are purely a dance between line and shape.
