I love to paint this parlor on the water of octagonal shape by all seasons, but it is particularly beautiful in autumn.
During a walk in the parks of the castle it is so relaxing to sit on a bench in the shade of trees and draw in a sketchbook
This pavilion was erected, at the request of Louis XIV, by Louis Le Vau in counterpoint of the great parterre of André Le Nôtre. Lying proudly overlooking the gardens, this haven of peace and freshness accessible only by the waters offers an intimate and dazzling view of the castle.
Participating in the pleasures of successive rulers, this pavilion is a reflection of the soul of the one that Napoleon called "the house of the centuries".
