This is an acrylic painting on canvas of Penlee Estate, Porthleven Cornwall. It is beautiful and so unusual. As you walk along the coastal path you can see the sea and beach but from the upper path walk you follow an adjoining lake and then into the woods - The Penlee Estate. Owned by the National Trust. Its quite magical. I painted it first with the brush and then when dry I worked over the entire painting with the palette knife. I love texture and the knife does just that. When one layer drys you add another colour and it creates ridges which makes the trees stand out and look just like bark on the trees.
