Artist's description:

While I was in the town of the Lonquimay my Chilean host family were thrilled to discover this little traditional restaurant and working farm. My host sister kept saying ‘This is just like you would see on the TV!’ The restaurant was a little smoky hut and we were served huge plates of delicious food, mainly consisting of big hunks of meat.

After our delicious traditional lunch we went on a tour to see the farm. The barn in this painting had lots of newborn animals in – piglets, calves and lambs. My favourite animal was the gigantic pig that was kept behind the fence on the right of this painting.
