Artwork description:

This painting is part of an ongoing series portraying rocks that were found together at one of my favorite parks in Oklahoma City. The title is borrowed from a song by James Brown.

A person could meditate while looking at these rocks. The rocks themselves are the ultimate reality and the absolute, but at the same time there are a trillion of them lying around somewhere making them utterly mundane. This painting is a moment of Zen.

The painting is varnished, has finished black sides, and is ready to hang.

Materials used:

acrylic paint and stretched canvas
