Painting in oils of Ponte alla Carraia, Firenze, Italie, as viewed from the weir on the Arno.
No insects died in the making of this painting :)
Normally, in hot weather, there are a lot of small bugs attracted to the smell the resins used in oil paint, especially in the hot sun. Not this time, the wind crossing the Arno was so strong, that none could get close to the canvas. I almost ended up in the water for the same reason but it was a beautiful day and I really wanted to capture this image.
