With this image I wanted to combine my love of bold graphic pop-style art with my love of abstract expressionism. The streak of yellow, green, and pink paint was applied freely using a paint roller. I then painted the roller itself into the painting in my usual pop style.
I think this makes for a very playful, vibrant, and bold image that could enliven any wall in any room of your house.
I submitted the original sketch of this painting to a Tumblr arts blog and not only did it get featured, it was also used on the Tumblr radar and log-in page as shown in the final image. This however is a one-off painted recreation on a high quality square canvas.
It is painted on a stretched cotton canvas that's ready to hang as the painting goes all around the sides.

Roughly 1 inch or 2 cm thick.
I've been inspired to create work like this by artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Pete Fowler, and by general graphic poster art.
