Artist's description:

When out fishing one night, there was this fantastic new moon. Silhouetted against the light of the moon was an old tree. Looking at the tree against the moon, an owl landed on the branch with a mouse is it's beak. I was just mesmerised by the owl and how close it was to me.
Totally ignoring me, swallowed the mouse.
Went home the next morning and painted what I had seen the previous night.
I have had this mounted on a rather thick frame, as who every buy's this little painting, and mounts a small light behind the moon, you will see the whole painting come alive.
