Artist's description:

This was a painting of a fish. Did not like it. Then I painted the most Gawd-Awful pear painting over that. You can read about that on my blog at www.helvismith.com (The post is about my hall of shame for ugly paintings...) - and now I have made 2 uglies into a really nice painting!

The title is in reference to the pears that I painted over and the Apollo refers to a computer system I used for years. Some of the archaic formats for that system are on this painting.

This new series comes from pod paintings and now they are kind of morphing into alien pods. Sorta....

I hope you like this one. I sure do.

This is painted, as all my work is, with recycled acrylic house paint and sealed with a clear water based varnish.

Materials used:

recycled acrylic house paint and ink
