Artwork description:

I had this image in my head of a sad woman with red hair, crying as her hair becomes a Koi fish. I don't know what it means, of if it means anything at all. Sometimes as artist we just paint from our subconscious, and instinct. We have some kind of primitive feeling or thought that hasn't coalesced into any kind of meaning, like a dream, you wake up and it's like, "What was that all about?" . However sometimes the viewers can look at that and say "Oh I know what that means" or perhaps this painting will speak to you and you can establish what it means to you, and maybe you can tell me and help me figure out what it means. This is one of the wonderful things about art, it can communicate things we can't say with words. And together we can all make some sense of this crazy life. :)

This original was painted in oil on 16X20 wrapped canvas, the sides of the canvas are painted a dark neutral color. Entire painting has been varnished for protection, producing a lush gloss finish. Read to hang out the box, with recessed hanger on back. Hangs flush to the wall.

Thank you for viewing my art! OX
