This original watercolour was inspired by observing the pageantry and costume of the guardsmen in all their finery at the Royal event which are steeped in tradition in the UK. Endeavouring to capture the 'bark' of command set against the rich reds of uniform was the driving force of the painting. I attempted to distil the image down to its fundamental force of the power of the voice and was pleased with the result. This painting was selected to hang at The Royal Watercolour Society Exhibition, Bankside, London in recent years.
This painting is sold double mounted but unframed to allow the buyer to choose their own choice of frame.
