Original artwork description:

Such a mild day. The snow is warm but crispy. The air is grayish foggy, humid, as it happens in February, when the struggle of winter and spring for the throne is already in full swing.
The frozen river breathes a warm shade. Life wakes up there. It's inevitable.
The painting is painted from nature. My workshop is located very close to this place. The look of the fisherman, as always, causes a lot of surprised looks, and I try to go over the bridge into the thickets along the river. There are always a lot of views for me there. I really love this quiet place. The city buzzes around with its bustling life. And I'm standing in the woods. In front of me there is a frozen river and a Baptist Church on a high bank. It has a very unusual architecture, I must say. I was told that in the plan it is designed in the form of a pigeon. I've never been above it, I can't say for sure. But most likely this is exactly the case. The building is made of red brick, on a winter day the colors are softened by dense moist air.
In my opinion, this is a very successful study. It so accurately conveys what I was actually hunting for: the unforgettable charm of barely melting snow. The magic of turning winter into spring.
