One of a series of paintings from earlier in the year when I was trying things out, in this case a low-key soft, limited palette painting of a well-known location on the Thames in London called Strand-In-The-Green. Based around one of my favourite colours to use in paintings, blue, I have tried to paint it very softly trying to get the feeling of late dusk when the white clouds can still be seen, a nocturne influenced by Whistler.
