Acrylic colour on unbleached 300gms American unbleached raw paper, acid free, 22 x 30 in., 56 x 76 cm
The beauty in these older buildings is in the old windows and the seeming random design from one shophouse to the next. And they tend to make a good painting. I’m using a raw watercolour paper, 300gm, … which makes it fairly absorbent. It also has a fairly mat finish which blends interestingly with the brilliance of the colours. I’m told this american unbleached paper is no more. I am using up the last of some old stock of this nice paper here.
The close up picture allows you to get a better sense of the texture and brush stroke of this painting. Then there’s me with the painting, and also the photo shoot.
