Original artwork description:
Peonies are my favourite flower and despite this being a very hectic time of year I had to make time to paint some whilst they are still in season. This was painted against a background of dark denim to give real depth and help the flowers stand out. As usual I have used a linen canvas and Michael Harding oil paints.
