Part 1 of a diptych conceived to look at censorship in art and on the internet, This image references the painting Rokeby Venus by Velasquez which was slashed by Mary Richardson one of the suffragettes in 1914. It was thought she didn't like the way men ogled at the painting. Part 2 of the diptych has multiple images of my Rokeby with only 1 of the images with a red slash. This symbolises how on the world wide web censorship is near impossible.
