'Ocean Motion' is created using steel bar and salvaged metal materials. He originally started as a sketchbook idea, based upon the marvels of the ocean. Ocean Motion has been created by initially forming the outline of the body, and then building an armature onto the frame using steel bar. Once the main shape has been completed, detail and embellishment have been added using salvaged metal parts. Processes used to crete the piece include modeling, shaping, welding, grinding and polishing. The sculpture is created to give a feeling of openness to the piece, almost as though a line drawing has come to life. This sculpture can be presented either inside or outside. If outside, parts of the sculpture will rust patina, taking on a life of its own.
