Artist's description:

A piece about process and deconstructing an everyday object, the razor blade, and repurposing and giving it new meaning through art. The metal was cut with the same technological process used to cut the tiles on the space shuttle. Water is mixed with garnet dust and sprayed through a nozzle at intense pressures, cutting through incredibly tough materials with precision. The title, process and idea for the sculpture was inspired by Occam's Razor, a problem-solving principle that says among many competing hypotheses, the simplest one should be chosen. Understanding that has helped me cut through my issues with precision. It has freed up energy to do what I love to do which is create art. Purchase Occam, it will help you simplify your life or at the very least, it will make your home or office look amazing.
