Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Marsupials are pouched mammals (think kangaroos), and the Australian continent has been blessed with a greater percentage of these creatures than anywhere else in the world. Almost all of them, like the wombat, Tasmanian devil, bilby, bandicoot, among others, remain seriously endangered. The numbat painted here is a part of an art exhibition expected to center around a diverse series of endangered animals. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to raise consciousness about the plight of the wonderful creatures we are fortunate to share our planet with.
