The work is developed from my life drawing study of the female nude. The drawing has been broken down into shape, form and carefully chosen palette.
I have relied on my instinct throughout the process to achieve what I am looking for in the work.
Matisse cut outs are the inspiration behind the work, and I wanted to try and extend a selected element of the life drawings from my collection of 20 years of work .
