I find the body most interesting when it is captured in a natural, relaxed manner. I’m sympathetic towards the imperfect and the real. Slouched over with her chin resting on her knee, the girl is captured in a moment of quiet release. Her positioning creates folds in her stomach and her hair falls to cover her face.
Compositionally I was also interested in the contrast between the organic forms of the body and the houseplants with the architectural elements of the fireplace and floorboards.
As all prints are hand pressed, each will have some minor differences, which I believe adds to the character of the print. I cannot guarantee that you will receive the edition featured in the photo.
