Artist's description:

This is the third of a series of 6 paintings from a project called Remote Britain. Together with a photographer and a blogger we traveled around the UK, painting and photographing the remote landscapes.
Of all the places I visited, Northumberland made the biggest impression on me and so this piece is dedicated to it.
Northumbria was inspired by the unique light in this region of Britain and I’ve tried to capture the striking colour pallet of the land, sea and sky. I was fascinated by how the light bounces off the the water making you feel like you are in a glass prism.

Materials used:

Oil paint, pallet knife, brushes
