I am fortunate to live in a rural location and so find constant inspiration in the fauna which surrounds me. Another source of constant inspiration is decay. Whether it's abandoned derelict farms or rusting tin cans, beauty is to be found in the shapes, textures and colours that are all around us. It is this desire to capture the beauty of wildlife within modern, man made environments that is a constant theme in my work and keeps me focused on issues relating to people living subsistence lifestyles and the wildlife which finds itself under pressure to survive.
I use a variety of mark making techniques to create an interesting canvas, these include runs and pools of paint, transfer-printed and handwritten text and patterns.
This painting is framed ready to hang on a wall.
The frame options are - Black with a White inner slip or White with an Oatmeal coloured inner slip. Contact me with your requirements.
