A portrait of Nina laying in bed with her back to the viewer. The painting is taken from a sketch created in Penzance, Cornwall during our trip around the county back in 2006. We had spent time visiting and enjoying the countryside, taking in the fresh air, walking through the ancient landscape and enjoying the views throughout my home county.
The painting is impressionistic in its style, applying broad, short strokes of greens and blues, implying the landscape and the relationship between the body and the land, exploring form.
[This painting is ready to hang - although not framed. Would look good in a gold and green/ blue frame.]
