Artist's description:

Almost exact replica of Picasso's celebrated painting Night Fishing at Antibes.
Picasso painted this in 1939 just before the start of world war II in Antibes, South of France. Painting shows two fisherman in a boat using artificial light to attract fish to the surface , one is using a spear and the other one is using a line tied to his foot. There are two girls watching the scene from the edge one with outstretched arms and the other ones licking an ice cream. Several interpretations of the painting has been proposed and all are equally good.
I was always fascinated with this painting and took up the challenge over new year and Christmas holidays. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed painting it.
