The work was started at night, and painted at night. Me, at home with a brush, some bright colours on a table, and a easel with a big canvas on it in front of me. I was at home, and outside it was the blue darkness of an illuminated town and its relatively tiny places and its people living indoor and outdoor. I felt touched by that blue, like a soft sadness...
It's a canvas that couldn't need any framing because, even if it's not a gallery one, it is painted on the edges, so it's ready to hang.
A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork.
