Artist's description:

Every Spring, the barn swallows return to the barn to set up house and raise their families. Watching the babies grow, and eventually take their first flying lessons is wonderful. These are two of the young ones taking a rest from their first flight.

I am including 2 photos of the work, one without staples showing, and one with. I tend to create most of my work, especially initially, using a wet-in-wet technique, and I find the staples are best for keeping the paper flat as I work.

Materials used:

transparent watercolor on Arches archival rag paper

New Kids on the block (2016)
