Artist's description:

Abstract expressionism done with acrylic on heavy paper. Painting was sealed with Polycrylic varnish to protect and stiffen the painting. It is signed on the front and back along with the title and date created. This piece was done out of nervous energy during the recent Louisiana flooding...my daughter and her family were in an area that experienced heavy flooding. They were watching the water rise and couldn't get out. Thankfully they didn't flood, but watching the water rise all around them not knowing how high it was going to go was making me and her a nervous wreck. I felt helpless, so to keep my mind off of the situation, I had to paint...this was one of the pieces.

Materials used:

acrylic, charcoal pencil, paper, oil pastel, polycrylic varnish
