This is another painting inspired by a recent trip to Iceland where we saw the most spectacular northern lights show. The yellow/orange glow was from the moon going down behind the mountain.
I created the sky using fine art acrylic spray paint to get a loose, impressionistic feel and then used acrylic paint in an impasto style with a palette knife for the mountain which gives it a raised, textured surface.
This is a box canvas and the sides have been finished so it can be hung as is without the need for a frame. Please note it is signed on the side of the canvas but there isn't an option for this when listing the painting.
