Artist's description:

Last December 2013 I received an alarming email from my father stating that my #mother suffered a 2'nd degree #burn on her right #hand while she was cooking. Our "lives" changed since then...

I drew a #portrait of her once or twice but not as the woman she is now- a 74 year old mother and retired government employee.
Well, this will be her hand portrait . These are her hands while repairing our old clothes...and these are the same hands that got burned...
I realized that most of the "scars" my mother had and still have are mainly because of her love for us. This drawing will remind me of how much we love her (back).

*** This piece will be delivered rolled in a "G-Type tube". I've been using this "high-quality" tube for years to pack and protect my artworks during transportation. So far, since I've sold original artworks internationally (United States, United Kingdom and Australia) I've never encountered a problem using this form of packaging. ***
