This linocut print developed around the theme of love and togetherness, is based on an original design. It is printed in Mason Grey colour, which is a seasonal trend and will complement any interior design scheme.
"I planted us in the field together
so that our roots may entwine
and we may grow towards the same sky;
together in the spring, together
in the rain and wind of the winter months."
The neutral colour perfectly juxtaposes the more traditional intricate design of the print. The natural free-flowing forms also give it a musical rhythm and is inspired by the Indian fabrics and textile designs, and the mosaics on Mughal buildings such as Taj Mahal and Fathehpur Sikri.
"Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground,
and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from the branches,
they find that they are one tree and not two."
The print size is appx. 19 x 16cm.
Each print is handmade, printed with safe-wash oil-based inks, so there might be very slight variations in each print in terms of colour and texture, but this makes each print unique. Each print is signed, numbered and titled by the artist in pencil. It is printed on smooth 145 gsm Zerkall printing paper.
The prints will be sent securely wrapped with a backing mount, in lovely acid-free tissue paper, ready to be given as a gift, or can be easily framed in any standard frame.
