One of the things I remember being drawn to on my first visit to Hawaii, was the variety of tropical fruits, veggies, and flowers in the local markets. I would linger at the different booths just to take in the beautiful colors and smells. It's quite an experience! It was a HUGE difference from my home in Alaska.
For this painting I collected some of my favorites, pineapple, coconut, mango, avocado, sweet potatoes, and bananas for the fresh produce. The bold Anthurium flowers and delicate orchids were also an easy pick. I could probably do 100 different still life paintings using the different flowers and produce of Hawaii and never grow tired of it. It is such a beautiful place and the fruit of the islands are no different. I love Hawaii! :)
This painting comes framed in a warm finish gold frame featuring rich copper undertones. The frame profile is in a traditional style, accenting the painting beautifully.
