Artist's description:

This painting is stirred by the atrocities that have been happening recently in the world, especially Syria and the region. This conflict has been going on for more than 5 years…one that has taken countless lives and casualties including women and children….devastated homes and hopes… caused civilians to be caught in the cross-fire and changing front lines. It is a persecution that has displaced record number of people from their dwellings and countries. I have seen how, greed and need for power of certain individuals have left hundreds of thousands of fellow human beings in harm’s way… thousands reduced to only wanting for food, water and shelter in order to stay alive. Life for them has become a mere existence filled with pain and trauma...counting seconds unsure of what the future holds. And yet, people who can make a difference continue to keep living their perfect lives.

The children of Syria have experienced more hardship, devastation, and violence than any child should have to in a thousand lifetimes. The pleading eyes of children... hurt and homeless... cry out for help! Unfortunately all those cries have gone unheard!

Oh children, I pray that soon one day the world finally wakes up and unites for your deliverance!
