When I saw these beautiful tulips, I knew I had to photograph them. I was used to seeing red tulips, yellow tulips, purple tulips, even white tulips, but the blaze of bright saturated colors in this ‘multi-colored tulip’, as they are actually called, was new to me.
I love the soft, smooth texture of the tulip stems as they rise and intertwine with each other. They look more like a painting than a photo. (OK, I did work on the picture a bit to bring out this effect, but I loved it so much.) There are THREE tulip blossom on three different stems here. Can you find them all?
This print comes as a 12”x18” giclée print on fine art paper which I print myself in my studio on an 8-color Canon P100 printer. It is signed and numbered on the back. It is not framed, but comes shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube. Matted and framed, it would typically be 18”x24”.
