Artwork description:

This is an etching on a zinc plate depicting the story of the Nutcracker......the Mouse King curiously perched on the girl's shoulder, it is a surreal take on the story. The mouse's crown is coloured with real gold dust as are the epaulets and belt clasps on the Nutcracker. The gold is added separately and does not really show up on your computer. So it's all going on in the girl's imagination - the fairies dance, the Nutcracker draws his sword and all is pandemonium
