Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

The Mountains of Morven painted loosely with purple tones.

The colours in this painting are related to the the seventh chakra colour of Violet.
The chakras are the seven basic energy centres in the body. Each of the chakras correlate to a major nerve ganglia branching out from the spinal column. In addition the chakras are correlated to sounds, body functions, and much more.

Violet (purple) is the colour of the Crown chakra. This chakra is located at the top of the head. The Crown chakra is linked to the crown of the head, nervous system, and the brain, and is representative of 'pure thought.' This chakra connects one with the 'infinite consciousness.' Opening this chakra will help tap into a deep spiritual understanding.

I am very interested in spiritual and alternative forms of healing. I like to incorporate this into my paintings where I can. I find purple very calming and warm and it is a colour which draws you in.
