I spent a long, long time spread over six years observing and photographing the wild chimpanzees of Gombe National Park in Tanzania. Not surprisingly, I got to know many chimpanzee personalities. In particular, I formed a rapport with a young female called Golden. When she had her first baby, Glamour, I was keen to find out what sort of mother she would turn out to be and how would Glamour respond to her mother’s care. It took a long time before I secured this photograph which says it all.
This Giclee print is a colour print made on Hannemuhle photo rag 308 gsm paper which has a very smooth surface. (Giclee describes a fine art printing process that combines pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper). My Giclee prints have an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut.
Options: The print can also be made on C-Type Paper (matt or gloss), or C-Type Metallic/Velvet, or Giclee Canvas. It can also be printed at different sizes.
