Some of the old towns around Shanghai still have canals running through the town which gained them the name “the eastern Venice”. The covered boat take travellers along the canals, watching others having tea in the beautiful old houses lining along the canals. The narrow streets are linked by lovely old bridges, many survived hundreds of years and are still in use. Love to get up early in the morning when there is rarely any tourist around, wandering in the old town feel like stepping back in time.
