The first painting I did after moving to Spain, 2 years ago in spring 2019. Inspired by Van Gogh, the distant almond blossom, and the turquoise 'lake', Lago Barasona, actually a reservoir. The river valley was flooded and a dam was built for hydroelectricity in the 1950's. Painted plein air from our balcony.
