Fantasy portrait of a lady with magnolia flowers and finch birds in her hair. Landscape on the background in green/blue colors and moon above.
This work consists of many symbols that together create a mood. I was inspired by the paintings of the Renaissance and therefore chose a similar portrait composition with a landscape in blue tones in the background. Magnolia flowers as a pattern make this portrait more modern, tender and feminine. There are birds in the woman's wavy hair, they have always symbolized for me the elusive freedom and beauty that is almost impossible to catch. In the picture, they are calm and belong to her. She seems to be out of time in outer space, there is a small moon and stars.

This artwork is made with tempera on cotton canvas.
Canvas wrapped around the wooden frame, painted around the edges to compliment the artwork & doesn't need framing.
