Artist's description:

“Circles,” the enigma of life

Wherever we go, life turns in a circle and brings us to the same path again?

Perhaps our life does turn into an orbit we cannot escape from. Just like a roaming horseman who’s been riding all his life in circles. This cyclical movement is like an emptiness that absorbs our existence and completes itself in each turn of our life.

Predestined or not, dream or reality? —as Sigismund was inquiring himself in “La vida es sueño”- if life turns in a cyclical movement that involves us through a predetermined trajectory, how to release the closed route of our existence?
With the works presented in this catalogue, I bring a metaphysical and intuitive reflection on the pace of life and its phases.

While working on these paintings, I understood that my life has been always trapped in a cyclical movement. Like the blades of a windmill, sometimes pushed by a breeze and sometimes by a strong wind. Whatever was the world surrounding the canvas, I've tried to find a space of harmony that would keep the balance in any kind of circumstances. To find a core of emptiness - sometimes focused in the center of life, sometimes - far from the heart of the composition. I wanted to create a space of balance with the exterior world to face up the challenges that life brings on.
