Artist's description:

Piero della Francesca's oil paintings of Federico da Montefeltro and his young wife Battista Sforza are among the most famous portraits of Western art history. Through them, artists always felt inspired to their own interpretations - among them the Colombian painter Fernando Botero. It was his hypertrophic images that inspired me to a very own approach. Piero della Francesca's original paintings can be viewed in the Uffizi in Florence.
