I painted this watercolour in a small French town Montcabrier where I worked in an artist's residence. No many than a hundred people live here. But this village has charm, and tourists come here, there are more festivals and fairs here. But, during normal times, the streets of this place are deserted. I love these old white stone houses, their gardens and flowers. It is a quiet and harmonious life.
I painted this artwork in the open air, sitting near the window of the house. And I listened to the musical French speech, the clinking of dishes that were being prepared for breakfast and the rustling of the newspaper that the owner was reading... Good atmosphere is in this watercolour.

The artwork was painted by good quality professional watercolors paints on cellulose watercolor paper. The artwork has a white margin around the edge of the paper. This will allow you to frame it in a mat without losing the image field.
