Artist's description:

Monorca is a small marine reserve island off the coast of Spain. During the off-season the population is less than 300, but swells to over 3000 in the summer. It's a sleepy place in off-season and a good time to see the diversity of marine life in the area.
This painting was painted "alla prima" which is Italian meaning "at first attempt. I think it worked out well for my first forage into oil painting.
The painting is done on a cradled wood panel and it is varnished. It doesn't require a wire as the cradle is an inch deep. It will hang well on just a nail.
