Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by watching people consuming goods and working hard to do so while having to fulfill other financial obligations. The character is just questioning our contemporary way of living.
Using mixed media technique, this painting is a study of emotions through drawing lines.
The character looks like a Greek goddess statue who questions viewers through her gaze for eternity. Collage of small icons reminding us of the incessant wheel of paying bills, mortgage (and keep smiling while doing this) makes her hairdo as well as her thinking pattern.
The dollar bills are a collage of CAN 100 bills. This shows our world is money driven. This leaves less room for the soul and authenticity as a result which is trying to exist, perhaps survive, through the character's big expressive eyes.
