Artist's description:

This artwork is part of a series of work exploring material and process as dyes and inks dissolve, shapes overlap and embellished fabrics act as both a corporeal and spiritual embracement. The explorative approach reflects on Leon Trotsky’s thinking that art can be revolutionary in reinterpreting aesthetics in stable societies and art can be autonomous within ideologies.
The compositions stir many ipeceptions and conjure a plethora of implications within the Subject or viewer. Some images contain the word ‘Capricious’ in relation to aesthetics and environments and approaches to the thinking by German playwright, Bertolt Brecht. Brecht entertained notions about unmasking prevailing views, discovering casual complexities of society, social development, pressing difficulties of human society, making concepts concrete and making possible abstractions.
This series of images are optimistic and are tilted towards the sensory and sensation through colour, repeat and texture, line and shape using a variety of media and techniques. A beautiful range of artwork.

Materials used:

paint, ink, fabrics.
