Original artwork description:

Caught by the beauty of this location, walking in Richmond Park, I returned with my easel to sit and paint en plein air. As with most of my paintings, this piece is built up with many thin layers of oil paint, so I then returned to my studio, to complete it over several days.
The surface of the painting is wood board, that I have left unprimed, so that the grain of the wood is visible through the paint, contributing to the texture and natural perspective of this artwork.
The finished piece has an atmosphere of mystery and quiet, with the soft colours of the landscape in the distance, gently glowing beyond the water.

Painted in Michael Harding artists oil paint on mounted wood, with the edges left clean to reveal the grain (please see additional photograph), this artwork can be displayed framed or unframed. The painting is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
