Artist's description:

One day I’m walking on the highest peek of Monte Cimino, an old volcano (expired) not far from Viterbo, in a beech forest, with the tallest trees in Europe. In this forest (due to the volcanic activity) there are many strange rocks, with mysterious shapes, that fascinated me. But I need a completely different kind of light, something special. I previsualized the scene, and wait many days that the perfect conditions arrived. That morning, before dawn, in the mist (in reality the cloudy cap of the mountain) I have not few difficulties to find my rock. The trees look so similar in the mist and in the dark! But I need an environment with low light to do my job. When I found my rock, quick I compose my previsualized image, get my portable flash (and radio trigger) inside the “valve” of the rock and take many shots. I like very much the result…
