Acrylic colour on handmade Thai mulberry paper (kada sa), deckled edge 8.3 11.3 in, 21 x 28.5 cm
Inspired by forest scene while on an art sketch outing to one of Malaysia’s national parks. Although sketching groups have caught on now, back in the day organising an art outing was seen as suspicious at best in too many parts of the world. But here I did get some good sketches and paintings from this event.
The paper used here is a traditional paper handmade in Thailand. It’s a thick parchment like paper, strong yet pliable. I have the paper made to this size to get the deckled edges which adds to the textural effect. The close up picture is to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.

Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and envelope covering.
