It was a tricky project. Did you know that you can paint with artist grade colored pencils almost like with oils? Yes, it is possible and here you see the result. I think that my miniature is looking much softer than any oils or acrylics would do, however. And, like the master himself, I haven't used any blacks at all, I've used only 'out of space' colors like, purples, blues, greens, and yellows.
The painting is double mounted, its mounted size is 18 x 13 cm, and it fits in regular frames of this size (18 x 13 cm = around 7 x 5 inch).
This is a miniature painting, and its actual size may be much smaller than this one you see on your screen. I've coated the sturdy Strathmore Bristol board with many layers of artist grade colored pencils (I have used the beautiful Derwent Studio Pencils and Colour Pencils "Polychromos" by Faber Castell). The painting is varnished to protect it from airborne pollutants and UV damage.
My certificate of authenticity will be included.
